There is always so much happening in the electorate of Moore and it's been my pleasure to be involved in the following community events and issues.
Developing Environmental Awareness
Dr Washer visited Springfield PS to see some of the artwork developed by Year 6 and 7 students. The artwork was part of an environmental educational project organised by a collaborative partnership between Sue Bailey of the Friends of Maritana Bush, UWA
Social Work students, Springfield PS, and the City of Joondalup.
Funding was provided through the Australian Government envirofund.
Beldon Primary School leading the way in water conservation
Beldon PS was one of the first to receive funding through the Community Water Grants for their innovative water wise garden and water saving plumbing project.
Dr Washer recently visited the garden and some of the students involved.
Dr Washer joined veterans participating in the Federal Government's Heart Health Program. The Program focuses on improving the mental and physical well being of veterans through regular exercise and information sessions.
Veterans interested can contact the Veterans an Veterans Families Counseling Service on 1800 011 046
